The HR department of TIMSR organized an HR Conclave on 6th August 2022 on “Green HRM Practices: A Drive towards Sustainability”. The objective of the conclave was to create awareness on Green HR practices and provide essential knowledge on current HR practices for the sustainable development.
The Conclave was inaugurated by Dr. Pankaj Natu, Director,TIMSR with the felicitation of Mr. Ashish Gupta (Chief Guest), DGM (HSSE) Corp BPCL, Ms. Manvi Sushil (Guest of Honor), Lead HRBP – GSK.
Aligning with the theme, Mr. Ashish Gupta mentioned the impact of Green HRM practices that it can bring to Economy, and enlightened the students to be part of sustainable practices. The guest of honor, Ms. Manvi Sushil also explained the significance of sustainability and how an HR can make a difference to the current scenario.
A short quiz on TIMSR values and sustainable practices was also organized, followed by a panel discussion. Mr. Devyesh Gorasia, Asst. Manager- Learning & Development (HR), Ms. Kajal Sadhnani, Associate Vice President DAM Capital advisors Ltd, Ms. Anusha Iyer HR, Grauer & Weil (I) Ltd and Ms. Nisha Dubey, Head- Learning &Talent Management, Aditya Birla Group were the panelists and Dr. Pooja Thorat, Associate Professor - HR was the moderator for the discussion. A total of 118 students participated in the Conclave.
The panelists discussed the significance, challenges to the business while adopting green practices, long-term benefits and the ways to begin with green practices. Ms. Richal Tuscano, HOD-HR concluded the discussion with a vote of thanks.
