NAAC Sponsored Seminar

    TIMSR conducted a Two-Day 'NAAC Sponsored Seminar' titled “NAAC Accreditation in New paradigm: A Key to Quality Enhancement in Higher Education” for the academicians and industrialists on 21st & 22nd April 2022. The Chief Guest of the seminar was Dr. S. Sreenivasa, Dy. Advisor, NAAC. The resource persons of the seminar were Dr. Ayesha Sheikh- I/c Vice-Chancellor- Mysore University, Chairman of NAAC Peer team, Dr. Sangeeta Ghate, Principal, Umiya Arts and Commerce College for Girls, Ahmedabad, Dr. Praveena S. Muley, Director at SSR IMR, Silvassa, Dr. Suhasini Arya, Principal, Smt Kamaladevi Gauridutt Mittal College of Arts and Commerce, Dr. Smita Shukla, Director IQAC, University of Mumbai and Dr. Rakesh Ranjan, Vice-Chancellor, Himgiri Zee University.

On Day 1, the session started with a welcome address by Dr. Pankaj Natu, Director, TIMSR. The Inaugural address was given by Dr. S. Sreenivasa. During the discussion, Dr. Rakesh Ranjan discussed on the topic ‘Role of Industry in Designing and Delivering the Curriculum’. He further spoke on the Robust Research system, Industry-Institute curriculum, etc. Dr. Ayesha Sheikh discussed on ‘Revised NAAC Accreditation Process and Procedures’. She shared that the NAAC process is now shifted from offline to online uploading. Dr. Sangeeta Ghate discussed on ‘Role of IQAC and Strategies to be adopted by IQAC for Quality Improvement in Higher Education’. She further shared her in-depth experience of IQAC and also threw light upon the role, benefits and policies of IQAC. The enriching and engaging day one ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rekha Singh, Associate Professor, TIMSR.

Day 2 started by welcoming the Speakers. The first speaker, Dr. Praveena Muley discussed on ‘ICT usage and Innovative Practices in Teaching-Learning Processes’ and shared the importance of ICT Usage in the Teaching-Learning process. She also shared the responsibility of teachers to use ICT in the teaching-learning process. Dr. Suhasini Arya focused on the ‘Best Practices to be adopted by Institutions’. Dr. Smita Ghate talked over the ‘Quality Parameters in Higher Education’ and emphasized on NAAC Value Framework linked to 5 processes and activities related to Quality. The seminar ended with a Valedictory session and a vote of thanks by Dr. Suchi Gautam, Professor, TIMSR.
