Research cell of TIMSR had organized a Seminar on ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ on 15th Dec. 2017 at the Institute. The resource person for the same was Mr. Vijay T. Doye, Assistant Controller of Patents & Designs, PCT-RO/IN & RMID In-charge, Patent Office, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. This seminar was designed to introduce researchers , teachers & staff of Business Management course to the basics of intellectual property rights (IPR). It provided an overview of the IPR’s most important issues of approach, legislation, processes, management and outcomes. Topics of deliberation in the said seminar were : Introduction to IPR , Patent Criteria, Indian Patent application Procedure, Patent search, Inventions not patentable in India, International Patent application.
