International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2017 to symbolize unity of mind and body, thought and action, a holistic approach to health and well being. Dr. Supriya Bhat, Yoga Practitioner inaugurated the session and explained the philosophy of yoga. She inspired the students and faculty to live by taking inspiration from our Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi and Former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Mr. Mandar Marathe, Yoga Trainer, in his session highlighted the importance of practicing yoga in our day to day life for mental and physical health. He made the participants practice some of the yoga and meditation techniques.
Both the speakers appreciated the efforts taken by the Institute to encourage the students and the staff to take part in such programmes which will contribute to peace, harmony and consciousness.
