FINANCE for NON-FINANCE PROFESSIONALS 

TIMSR organized a Two days Management development program on FINANCE for NON-FINANCE PROFESSIONALS on October 21st and 22nd 2016. The MDP was specially designed to meet the needs of non finance professionals.
The primary objective of this two day program was to equip non-finance professionals with financial concepts & terminologies and its user friendly application in their day to day managerial decision making.
The MDP was inaugurated by Dr. Shalini Bariar, MDP Convener & Associate Professor, TIMSR   and the resource persons were eminent faculties of TIMSR with excellent academic background and financial knowledge along with practicing chartered accountancy professionals from industry.
The pedagogy for this program included conceptual understanding, discussions; numerical exercises and case analysis to enhance the understanding of concepts.

The MDP covered four modules

Module I- Day 1 (Resource Person: Prof Chitra Gounder)

1. Cost Information, Allocation, and Decision Making

Module III-Day 2(Resource Person: Dr CA Shuchi Gautam)

1. Acquiring New Project Funds and Capital Structure Decisions
2. Project Evaluation and Resource Allocation

Module IV-Day 2 (Resource Person: CA Neetu Singhania)

1. Fundamentals of Economic Value and Shareholder Value Maximization
2. Working Capital Management Techniques

The MDP was designed for managers, senior executives in non-financial positions appropriate for any functional area in the industries, both in public and private sectors. This program was also apt for individual running SME’s and entrepreneurs. The certificates of participation were distributed after the completion of the program.
