Managing Competency to Align and Direct Organizational Talent 

    A one day Management Development Program on “Managing Competency to Align and Direct Organizational Talent” was organized on 26th February 2017. The programme was designed to meet the needs of HR Professionals and it provided insights on competency management and its linkages to organizational strategy. The resource person for the MDP was Dr. Chandrakant Varma, Assistant Professor, TIMSR. The engagement brought to light the challenges faced by the participants in their current job roles with regards to the human resource planning and management within the organization. The programme specifically enabled the participants to understand the importance of competency management in managing and directing the talent towards organizational goals and objectives. At the same time, developing a robust HRM system with policies and practices which enable assessment and measurement of suitable behavior integrated with the job roles for building a high performance organization and creating a competitive advantage.
