Induction of MMS Batch 2023-2025

TIMSR organized a 10-day Induction program for the students of MMS (Batch 2023-2025) from 01st September 2023 to 13th September 2023. The program started with the inaugural address by Dr. Pankaj Natu (Director). During the welcome address, Dr.Pankaj Natu disseminated the Vision and Mission of the institute. Dr Rekha Singh (Dy. Director) focused on the Values, Program Education objectives, and Program Outcomes of the institute for the holistic development of the students.

The following sessions were conducted during the induction:

  1. Code of Conduct & ROA – Dr. Charu Upadhyaya
  2. MMS Curriculum – Ms. Reema Shah
  3. Ice–Breaking Activities – Ms.Prachi Chaturvedi, Dr. Aastha Sharma, Mr. Gunwant Awasthi & Prof. Lata Poojari
  4. Management Games – Ms. Lata Poojari, Mr. Aashish Kumar, Ms. Prachi Chaturvedi, Dr. Megha Sharma, Dr. Shebazbano Khan
  5. Treasure Hunt – Mr. Gunwant Awasthi, Ms. Richal Tuscano, Mr. Mahendra Diama
  6. Awareness Activity on Anti-Ragging — Ms. Lata Poojari, Dr. Vishal Sandanshive

A session on Accreditation was conducted by Dr. Rekha Singh (Dy Director). An Orientation by the Examination Department was also provided to the students by Dr. Yesha Mehta.

A Management Case Study was undertaken by Ms. Anshita Chelawat where the various ways to solve a case study were briefed to the students. Students were acquainted with the Placement Cell by Mr. Rahul Mehta and Ms. Natasha Thakker. Further, the KRA holders briefed the students on various cells, committees and clubs at TIMSR, like the Student Council, Placement Committee, Alumni Cell, Social Responsibility Cell, Research Cell, TIMSR Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (TCEI), PR through Social Media, Electoral Club, Green Club, Newsletter, etc. through which the institute organizes various activities.

A session on, “The Constitutional Perspective on Human Values” was conducted by Ms. Prachi Chaturvedi where an Expert — Transformation Life Coach, and Mind Power Trainer was called upon to guide students in a professional manner. Mr. Rahul Mehta guided the students to build their Resume through a dedicated session.

A series of sessions on ‘Universal Human Values’ were taken by Dr. Pooja Thorat with the objective to disseminate the right human values among management students, as a part of the delivery of value education.

A media interaction on the topic, “Bharat or India” was conducted by the news channel “TIMES N|O|W” where students enthusiastically shared their opinions and views. Alumni Speak Session on Career in Finance, Marketing, HR and Operations was organized by Dr. Charu Upadhyaya, Ms. Reema Shah, Ms. Richal Tuscano, and Mr. Mahendra Diama where Alumni were invited to shepherd the students. A Session on “Vote: It’s your Civic Duty” was undertaken by Ms. Prachi Chaturvedi to make students aware of their fundamental rights and the importance of voting.

Dr. Sonal Sharma conducted a session on Corporate Etiquettes to make the students well-acquainted with professional etiquette and soft skills. Mr. Mukund Harne (Assistant Librarian) informed students about the Learning Resource Centre. Mr. Mahendra Daima and Dr. Vishal Sandanshive guided the students about the Mentoring process.

A movie review of the feature film, “The Pursuit of Happiness” was conducted by Ms. Prachi Chaturvedi, Dr. Shebazbano Khan, and Ms.Lata Poojari. Further, the students were asked about the learnings from the movie.

The sessions were highly interactive and insightful with a fun-oriented approach.
