A very rigorous training programme is instituted that ropes-in industry experts who advise, train and mentor the students to achieve their goals. Students are put through a series of workshops, guest lectures, seminars and simulation exercises to become ready for the ever changing corporate landscape. To name a few, ICICI Centre for Financial Learning’s training programme on Equity Trading & Investments, Financial Modeling; National Institute of Securities Markets’ (NISM) workshop on Commodity Market; GlobeOp Financial Services (India) Pvt. Limited’s training on Decision Making. For holistic development of students, the Institute provides pre-placement training on Communication Skills, Negotiation Skills, Resume Writing and effective Group Discussions and Personal Interviews along with Counseling Facility.
Foreign language training program on various international languages like Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin and German is being conducted in association with India China Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The Institute believes in the ideology of ‘shared leadership’ which is why students play an active role not only in identifying the training need but also sourcing leads for summer and executive placements. A robust Student Placement Committee is at the helm of affairs that works round the year to connect with the organizations and bring them on campus.
Certificate in Alternative Investment Industry (CAII) Program:
TIMSR & SS&C GlobeOp Financial Services (India) Private Limited has agreed to establish an industry-academic collaboration, wherein SS&C GlobeOp will provide final year finance students of Thakur Institute of Management Studies & Research with over 20 hours of classroom training on Alternative Investment Industry. After successfully clearing the test, the students were given CAII certificate.
This certification program has provided the students with in-depth knowledge related to alternative investment along with an opportunity to explore different business verticals in Alternative Investment Industry. The training was conducted in AY 2014-15, AY 2015-16, AY 2016-17 and AY 2017-18.
