Importance of Voting
TIMSR’s Electoral Club organized an awareness session on “Importance of Voting” for MMS students Semester I (2024-26) on November 8th, 2024. The session aimed to emphasize the critical role of voting in a democratic society, particularly for future managers and leaders. The students highlighted how each vote contributes to shaping policies and governance, which in turn affects the nation’s socio-economic and business environment. Through real-life examples, students learned the consequences of voter apathy and the significance of informed voting.
The session encouraged students to view voting not only as a civic duty but also as a mean to voice their expectations for progressive change. Engaging activities and discussions allowed students to reflect on the impact of their choices in electing leaders who align with values of accountability and transparency. The event concluded with a question and answer segment, where students expressed their concerns and ideas on various electoral topics. The session succeeded in creating a sense of responsibility among students and inspiring them to actively participate in future elections, understanding the profound influence their votes can have on society and their own professional futures.
Electoral Club- Group Discussion Activity
TIMSR’s Electoral Club conducted Group Discussion(GD) session on the topic ‘Importance of Voting’ for the students of MMS Semester-II (Batch 2023-25) on 11th March, 2024. The aim of the session was to spread awareness on the voting process, importance of voting among youth and to enhance the communication skills and thinking capacity of the students.
Mr. Anmol Dixit, Assistant Professor-TIMSR guided the students on the Do’s & Don’ts of GD and significance of casting a vote as a youth representative of the nation. The students were directed to go through the Election Commission website and have a healthy discussion among them regarding election process in India.
As a whole, students participated enthusiastically in the session enabling them to gain knowledge on the voting rights and their responsibilities towards creating a better nation.
Mera Pehla Vote Desh ke Liye
TIMSR’s Electoral Club conducted a session on awareness on “Mera Pehla Vote Desh ke Liye” campaign for the students of MMS Semester-II (Batch 2023-25) on 11th March 2024. The campaign was launched by the Ministry of Education (MoE) in collaboration with Ministry of Youth Affairs.
The aim of the session was to propagate Electoral Literacy amongst youth. The session covered topics like the aims and objectives of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Youth Affairs and importance of voting. The students were guided on the process of application for a voters id and links for the same was displayed. The session encouraged the students to cast ballots in significant numbers and contribute towards the development of the nation. The students gained better understanding on their duties and obligations as a citizen of the nation.
VOTE: It’s your Civic Duty
TIMSR’s Electoral Club organized a Session on the topic, “VOTE: It’s your Civic Duty” on 12th September 2023 for the students of MMS, Semester I (Batch 2023-2025). The speaker of the session was Ms. Prachi Chaturvedi, Assistant Professor, TIMSR. During the event, the topics like the power of democracy, the importance of voting and selecting the right representative were explained.
Overall, the session was highly informative and knowledgeable and ended with a Question & Answer round.
The Constitutional Perspective on Human Values
The Electoral Club and Social Responsibility Cell of TIMSR organized a Guest Session on the topic “The Constitutional Perspective on Human Values” on September 04, 2023 for the MMS students, Sem-I, Batch 2023-2025.
The speaker of the session was Ms. Beatrice Fernandes-Transformation Life Coach, and Mind Power Trainer, Potentiara, who explained the constitutional view and the importance of the Human Values. During the event, the students participated enthusiastically. Overall, the session was highly informative and knowledgeable and ended with a Q&A round.
