The Future of Strategic Intelligence

TIMSR organized a Finance Seminar on the topic “The Future of Strategic Intelligence: Reboot Risk Management” in association with IRM on 13th April 2022 for the students of MMS (Batch 2021-23& 2020-22.). Dr. Pankaj Natu, Director, TIMSR welcomed the dignitaries and the students at the Finance Seminar. The Chief Guest Mr. Hersh Shah, Chief Executive Officer, Institute of Risk Management enlightened the students on the significance of risk management in the global environment and the various opportunities available in the field. He also threw light upon the various risk management strategies and conducted an interesting quiz for the students. The Guest of Honor Mr. Sivashanmugam Raghunathan also expressed his thoughts on the increasing importance of risk management in various fields. Mr. Raghunathan explained various practical examples related to risk management. A group presentation competition on Risk Management was organized in this seminar. In the end, certificates were provided to the students for their participation. Overall the session was very engaging and opened up multiple areas of financial and enterprise risk management.

On Day 1, the session started with a welcome address by Dr. Pankaj Natu, Director, TIMSR. The Inaugural address was given by Dr. S. Sreenivasa. During the discussion, Dr. Rakesh Ranjan discussed on the topic ‘Role of Industry in Designing and Delivering the Curriculum’. He further spoke on the Robust Research system, Industry-Institute curriculum, etc. Dr. Ayesha Sheikh discussed on ‘Revised NAAC Accreditation Process and Procedures’. She shared that the NAAC process is now shifted from offline to online uploading. Dr. Sangeeta Ghate discussed on ‘Role of IQAC and Strategies to be adopted by IQAC for Quality Improvement in Higher Education’. She further shared her in-depth experience of IQAC and also threw light upon the role, benefits and policies of IQAC. The enriching and engaging day one ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rekha Singh, Associate Professor, TIMSR.

Day 2 started by welcoming the Speakers. The first speaker, Dr. Praveena Muley discussed on ‘ICT usage and Innovative Practices in Teaching-Learning Processes’ and shared the importance of ICT Usage in the Teaching-Learning process. She also shared the responsibility of teachers to use ICT in the teaching-learning process. Dr. Suhasini Arya focused on the ‘Best Practices to be adopted by Institutions’. Dr. Smita Ghate talked over the ‘Quality Parameters in Higher Education’ and emphasized on NAAC Value Framework linked to 5 processes and activities related to Quality. The seminar ended with a Valedictory session and a vote of thanks by Dr. Suchi Gautam, Professor, TIMSR.
