MMS Sem I Induction programme
TIMSR organized a nine-day Induction program for the MMS students (Batch 2024-2026) from September 13-21, 2024. The program commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. Rekha Singh (Director) who welcomed the students and congratulated them on becoming a part of the TIMSR family. The Chief Guest for the session was CA Mr. Prafulla Chhajed (President-Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants), and the Guest of Honor was Mr. Sanjeeb Lahiri (CHRO- GRP Ltd.) and Ms. Priya Pansare (CEO-India Business Group). During the induction program, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also signed between TIMSR and India Business Group (IBG) to explore the multiple growth opportunities. All the speakers enlightened the students on various management skills.
On the second day of induction, distinguished Guest of Honor, Dr. Rani Desai (Founder- It’s All about You) graced the event. The Keynote speaker, Mr. Chirag Joshi (Head of Distributor Success & B2B Growth- DSP Mutual Fund) along with Ms. Aparna Singh (Sales Enablement Manager- Forcepoint), Mr. Kalpesh Karodia (Senior Vice-President- Anand Rathi Wealth Limited) and Ms. Priya Dogra (Assistant Procurement Manager- Apar Industries) delivered inspiring talks motivating the students.
The induction program included a series of informative sessions such as an overview of the curriculum, Orientation on Vision & Mission, Code of Conduct, Ice-Breaking activities and a briefing by the Placement team. Students were introduced to various cells and committees including the Student Council, Social Responsibility Cell, Research Cell and the TIMSR Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (TCEI). Additional sessions on Universal Human Values, Health & Hygiene, Placement Preparedness and Resume Building were conducted. Foundation Courses on ‘Business Statistics’ and ‘Accounting for Managers’ were also offered. Furthermore, students attended an Anti-ragging awareness session, received Orientation on Alumni Mentoring, and they were provided with an Overview of the Library Facilities. A Video Documentary was screened followed by Team Building activities.
Overall, the sessions were highly interactive, insightful and conducted in a fun-oriented approach.
