Decoding an Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The Thakur Institute of Management Studies & Research (TIMSR) successfully organized the National Level Summer Internship Competition on October 5, 2024. This prestigious event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their innovative projects and internship experiences, with participants not only from the Mumbai region but also from various districts across Maharashtra and beyond.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Ritesh Bhardwaj, CHRO of National Bulk Handling Corporation, who shared valuable insights on the evolving business landscape and the importance of internships in shaping future leaders.
The panel of esteemed judges comprised four distinguished professionals from various industries. Mr. Mahendra Salunke, Company Secretary at Mahindra Sona Ltd., brought his expertise in corporate governance and compliance. Mr. Mayank Nagori, Senior UX Researcher and Design Strategist at LTI MindTree, provided valuable feedback on design and user experience research methodologies. Mr. Vishwajit Vishwakarma, Senior HR Business Partner at General Mills India, offered insights into HR strategies and talent management, while Mr. Mayur Parekh, Deputy Manager at CIPLA, contributed his experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Their collective expertise ensured a comprehensive evaluation of the participants’ presentations.
The competition was fierce, with outstanding presentations from students across various institutions. The first prize, consisting of a cash award of Rs. 10,000, was secured by Ms. Sarita Gupte from Bedekar Institute for her exemplary work. The second prize of Rs. 5,000 was awarded to Ms. Nicole Coutinho from SFIMAR, while the third prize of Rs. 3,000 went to Ms. Priyanka Nagare, also from Bedekar Institute. Additionally, two consolation prizes of Rs. 1,000 each were presented to Mr. Prince Soni and Mr. Samit Mattoo from TIMSR, recognizing their commendable efforts.
The event was a resounding success, with students showcasing exceptional talent and innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
