TiECon 2020
TIMSR encouraged students for volunteering in the 11th edition of “TiEcon Mumbai” on 28th & 29th January 2020 @ NCPA, Nariman Point, Mumbai. The conference was attended by 2000+ delegates comprising leading CXOs, successful entrepreneurs, investors, academics, policy makers, and thoughtful practitioners from India and around the world. TIMSR students got hands-on experience of managing an event and also had wonderful experience to listen to all Great Entrepreneurs like – Mr. Ratan Tata, Mr. Narayana Murthy, Mr. Deepak Parekh, Mr. Sujeet Kumar and many more.
Bizdom – Social Entrepreneurship Concept
Bizdom Management Game on the Topic of Social Entrepreneurship was conducted on 16th Jan 2020 from 10 am to 3 pm. Bizdom is a quiz competition related to the topic of Social Entrepreneurship for fine tuning the entrepreneurial knowledge of students. Through this Bizdom Event – TCEI was able to achieve one of its Objective, i.e: To nurture & nourish Intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial mindsets and equip TIMSRites with tools and techniques so as to master DVC i.e. Daily Value Creation & SVC Sustainable Value Creation in a disruptive digital age.
B-Plan Competition – Management Event (Entrepreneurial Mela)
B-Plan – Intercollegiate Competition was conducted on 16th Jan 2020 from 10 am to 2 pm. B-Plan is an intercollegiate event where students from various colleges participate and pitch their business ideas. Mr. Akash Dave, Co Founder, People Connect HR Business Solutions and Ms. Priyanka Acharya, Proprietor, Priy-Anka Consulting Co+ EnhanSkill were there to judge the event. Through this B-Plan competition TCEI was able to achieve one of its Objective, i.e: To nurture & nourish Intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial mindsets and equip TIMSRites with tools and techniques so as to master DVC i.e. Daily Value Creation & SVC Sustainable Value Creation in a disruptive digital age.
Mentoring by Faculty Expert for students who are allocated E-Labs for 2019-20
TCEI conducted a mentoring session for students who are allocated E-Labs for 2019-20. The Session was conducted by Mr. Abhishek Rajurkar, CEO, My Life Care & Faculty for Management Students for students. The Mentoring Program happened on 23rd Dec 2019 from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm at TIMSR (5th Floor – Room No. 502). Insights on how to take the Entrepreneurial dream to next level were provided by the mentor.
E-Day 2019 (under TCEI Cell – TIMSR Centre for Entrepreneurship & Innovation)
TCEI conducts many programs and events to generate entrepreneurship awareness among the students throughout the year, and one such activity was the E-Day 2019 celebrated on 20th Dec 2019. The theme of the event was “Startup Funding”. On this day we had E-Talks from Industry Experts, Q&A Session & Business Quiz for the students. The event was conducted for MMS & PDGM students of Sem I/II (Batch 19-21). In this event students got valuable insights on Funding related to Startups from entrepreneurs present as Guest speakers – Mr. Bankim Mistry (President-Bombay Small Scale Industries Association), Mr. Nikhil Jadhav (Mentor Health – Tech, Pitch Right Ventures) & Mr. Devesh Chawla ( Entrepreneur- Chatur Ideas/Startup-Mentor/Investor).
Mentoring by Industry Expert
TCEI organised a mentoring session at TIMSR by Mr. Sanket S, Founder, Urban Spice on October 26, 2019 for PGDM 2019-21 Batch students, who are allocated E-Labs in the A.Y. 2019-20. Valuable suggestions were provided by the Mentor making it a great learning session for the students. Through this session students were able to get greater insights to take their entrepreneurial dream to the next level. By doing this activity, TCEI was able to achieve its objective of nurturing & nourishing Intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial mindsets and equipping TIMSRites with tools and techniques so as to master DVC i.e. Daily Value Creation & SVC Sustainable Value Creation in a disruptive digital age.
Nuances of setting up & running a business
TIMSR Centre for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (TCEI) in association with MakinGrad Overseas Education Consultants, conducted an activity on the topic ‘Nuances of setting up & running a business’ for PGDM & MMS, Sem III, Batch 2018-20 & PGDM-Sem-I, Batch 2019-21 students on 29th August, 2019 from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm.Mr. Abhijeet Bhati, Co-Founder MakinGrad Overseas Education Consultants and the Resource Person for the same, briefed students about the challenges & issues relating to any Startup along with the nuances of setting up & running a new business. Through this event, TCEI was able to achieve one of its objectives-‘To nurture & nourish Intrapreneurial and Entrepreneurial mindsets and equip TIMSRites with tools and techniques so as to master DVC i.e. Daily Value Creation & SVC Sustainable Value Creation in a disruptive digital age’.
E-Lab – 2019-20
The Inauguration of 3 E-Labs under TIMSR – TCEI Cell was held on 30th September 2019. Mr. Abhisek Dalvi, First Generation Entrepreneur, Founder of Merwans Brand was invited as Chief Guest for Inauguration event. Alumni Entrepreneurs – Mr. Suraj R. Yadav, Founder of Tucks, Food outlet Franchisee and Ms. Sneha Khandelwal, Founder of What’sIn Apparels were also invited as Guest of Honour for Inauguration. TIMSR promotes the culture of Entrepreneurship & setting up E-Labs would encourage the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem for the students. The Objective of TCEI Cell was to provide an avenue to soundboard entrepreneurial ideas.
