The Regional Industry Summit
TIMSR conducted an insightful session on “Awareness Program on Commodity Derivatives” for the students of MMS, Semester-II (2024-26) on 29th March 2025. The session was delivered by Mr. Anish Vyas, Assistant Manager, Training and Education, Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX). The objective of the program was to introduce students to the fundamentals of commodity derivatives and their significance in the financial ecosystem.
Mr. Vyas elaborated on the structure, types, and functioning of commodity markets, highlighting the role of MCX in facilitating transparent and efficient trading. He also discussed the importance of risk management tools and the practical applications of derivatives in hedging strategies. Real-world examples and case studies added depth to the session, making it highly engaging and informative.
