SEBI Session on Financial Awareness
TIMSR’s BMS Department organized a session on financial literacy by SEBI for students of BMS, Sem-III (Batch2024-2028). The session aimed at equipping them with essential money management skills needed in both personal and professional spheres. The session highlighted the importance of budgeting, saving, investing, and making informed financial decisions early in life.
Through interactive discussions, students explored core concepts such as managing monthly expenses, understanding banking systems, credit awareness, and the basics of investing in mutual funds and other financial instruments. A special focus was placed on avoiding common financial pitfalls such as lifestyle inflation, impulse spending, and digital payment frauds. The event concluded with a Question & Answer session, where students enthusiastically participated and clarified their doubts.
