E-Summit 2026
TIMSR’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell (TCEI), in association with TEG, organized E-Summit’26 for internal and external students on 2nd and 3rd February 2025, as part of their academic and career development. The two-day event witnessed participation from various colleges across the city and featured competitions such as The Ten-Minute Deal, Pitch Arena – Idea to Reality, The Incubator’s Summit, and Startup Expo.
The Chief Resource Person was Umesh Rathod, IIC WRO Zonal Coordinator. Other distinguished dignitaries included Mayur Sejpal, Managing Partner at S.M. Mehta Capital Advisors; Dyneshwar Kamble, Business Cluster – Gen AI Governance and IP Lead at Tata Consultancy Services; and Nilesh Vohra, Head IT/CTO and Consulting Partner at Infollion Research Services.
The summit included expert talks, interactive discussions, and a panel discussion moderated by Mr. Rathod. The event was well-received and concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by an open forum for one-on-one interactions with the guests.
BIZDOM – Quiz Competition 2026
TIMSR’s TCEI Cell organized a Quiz Competition titled, “BIZDOM – Quiz Competition 2026” for the students of MMS, Semester-I (Batch 2025–27) and Semester-IV (Batch 2024–26) on 29th January 2026. The competition aimed to enhance business awareness, entrepreneurial understanding, and analytical thinking among management students. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from Semester I (Batch 2025–27) and Semester-IV (Batch 2024–26) students.
The quiz covered diverse domains including startups, MSMEs, business environment, innovation, current affairs, finance, marketing, and corporate developments. Participants competed in teams of two, demonstrating teamwork, business acumen, and presence of mind. The event comprised multiple engaging rounds designed to test conceptual clarity, speed, and application-based knowledge. The competition created an intellectually stimulating environment and successfully promoted an entrepreneurial mindset and updated business awareness. The event reflected TIMSR’s commitment to fostering innovation, competitive spirit, and academic excellence through interactive learning initiatives.
Entrepreneurship Lesson Through Movie – Moneyball
TIMSR Centre for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (TCEI) organized an event titled “Entrepreneurship Lesson Through Movie – Moneyball” for the students of MMS Semester-I (Batch 2025–27) on 9th October 2025. The objective of the screening was to enable students to understand the importance of perseverance, strategic thinking, and resilience in overcoming challenges. The film illustrated how an individual, even with limited resources can achieve remarkable success through a strong vision, determination and commitment.
Overall, the session was highly insightful and motivated students to develop a positive, innovative and solution-oriented mindset as they embark on their entrepreneurial journey.
TCEI Event-Entrepreneurship Awareness Program
TIMSR’s Centre for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (TCEI) organized a workshop in association with MSME of India (Under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India) for the students of MMS Sem-I (Batch 2025-27) on 24th September 2025. The event was conducted as part of the Entrepreneurship Awareness Program in association with MSME DFO Mumbai.
The workshop aimed to help the students in understanding the importance of data collection before starting their startups and emphasized discipline as well as time management skills. The guest speakers also provided insights on entrepreneurship, innovation and challenges that might arise in their entrepreneurial journey. Overall, the event was highly insightful and beneficial for all participants, particularly for students aspiring to pursue entrepreneurial ventures after completing their MMS program or in the future.
TCEI’s E Lab Inauguration
TIMSR’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell (TCEI) organized the inauguration of the E-Lab ‘Café Hub’ on 5th August 2025, by Mr. Vivek Joshi, Owner of Fat Tiger. The event was graced by Dr. Vidya Nakhate, Director; Dr. Rekha Singh, Deputy Director of TIMSR; TCEI student members; faculty members; and MMS Semester-III students (Batch 2024–2026).
This initiative aimed to promote hands-on entrepreneurial learning among students. The lab offers a real-time business setup, enabling students to experience and manage startup operations. It fosters creativity, innovation, and practical business skills.
Faculty Mentoring Session
TIMSR’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell (TCEI) organised a faculty mentoring session for the TCEI students of MMS, Semester-III (Batch 2024-2026) on 29th April 2025. During the event, students presented their concrete business ideas in front of designated internal faculty Mr. Ashish Kumar, Assistant Professor-TIMSR. Students further got the practical guidance on the same.
Overall, the students interacted and actively participated in the event with lots of learning for becoming a future entrepreneur.
Coffee with TEG Entrepreneurs (Alumni Panel Discussion)
TIMSR’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell (TCEI) in collaboration with Thakur Education Group (TEG) Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, organised an event “Coffee with TEG Entrepreneurs (Alumni Panel Discussion)” on 7th February 2025. The event was marked by a panel discussion featuring five distinguished alumni, i.e. Priyank Singh – Founder and Director of KP Webbate Technologies LLP, Vivek Joshi – Founder of Fat Tiger, Vrutika Gohil – Founder of Phoenix Inc, Varun Garg – Founder and Director of Garg Scientific Glass Instrument Co., Siddharth Jain – Founder & CEO of Fikskol Pvt Ltd.
This event served as a distinctive platform where accomplished alumni entrepreneurs were invited to share their entrepreneurial journeys, insights, and experiences with existing MMS students. The panelists, further recounted their experiences, challenges, and successes, offering students a realistic and practical view of the entrepreneurial landscape. Overall, the discussion was full of insights, as the alumni provided valuable guidance on initiating and managing startups, overcoming obstacles, and maintaining resilience in the face of adversity.
