Educational Visit to RBI Monetary Museum

TIMSR’s BMS department organized a visit to RBI Monetary Museum for the students of BMS, Semester-III (Batch 2024-28) on 20th September 2025. The visit commenced with a short film on the history and evolution of money followed by a guided museum tour featuring money forfeiting machines, promissory notes, treasury bills, ancient transaction tools and contemporary currency. During the visit, the students examined how monetary policy influences demand and supply, pricing, cost of production and market structures, effectively linking classroom learning to real-world economic practices. This experiential learning visit also bridged theoretical knowledge with practical insights, deepening students’ understanding of money, currency regulation and the RBI’s role in shaping markets, while making learning interactive, memorable and industry relevant.
