ESG Compliance and Corporate Governance: What Future Leaders Must Know
TIMSR organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “ESG Compliance and Corporate Governance: What Future Leaders Must Know” for the students of MMS Semester I (Batch 2025–27) on 11th December 2025. The session aimed to familiarize students with the importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance and sound corporate governance practices in the contemporary business environment.
The guest speaker, Mr. Mahendra Salunkhe, Company Secretary, Mahindra Sona Ltd., shared practical insights from his professional experience, highlighting ESG frameworks, regulatory requirements, and best practices in corporate governance. He emphasized the role of ethical leadership, transparency, accountability, and sustainability in achieving long-term organizational success, while also underlining the responsibilities of future managers in aligning business strategies with ESG objectives.
The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which students actively engaged with the speaker on topics such as ESG reporting, compliance challenges, and emerging career opportunities in governance and sustainability roles. The lecture proved to be highly informative and impactful, equipping students with essential knowledge and awareness to become responsible and future-ready management professionals.
