The Anchoring Competition
TIMSR organized “The Anchors’ Arena – Anchoring Competition 2026” for the students of MMS Semester II (Batch 2025–27) on 24th March, 2026, with the objective of enhancing public speaking skills,stage confidence, and professional communication abilities. The competition aimed to provide a platform for students across all specializations to showcase their anchoring talent and develop spontaneity and event-handling skills.
The competition was conducted in two rounds. In the first round, participants performed prepared anchoring for simulated events such as corporate functions, product launches, and award ceremonies, demonstrating structured communication and audience engagement. The second round tested participants’ spontaneity through impromptu anchoring, where topics were given on the spot with limited preparation time. The competition was judged by internal faculty members, Dr. Sonal Sharma, Associate Professor, Ms. Patricia Lemos- Assistant Professor and Mr.Anmol Dixit- Assistant Professor.
Further, the participants were evaluated based on confidence, professional tone, clarity, content flow, and creativity. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting students’ creativity and communication competence.
The competition concluded with the declaration of winners, including the Winner, Runner-Up, and Second Runner-Up, while all participants were awarded certificates. The event successfully contributed to enhancing students’ confidence, communication skills, and overall placement readiness.
