80th Independence Day Celebrations

As part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations, TIMSR organised a series of engaging activities aimed at fostering patriotism, national pride, unity and a sense of responsible citizenship among students.

Students enthusiastically participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign by uploading selfies with the National Flag. They also participated in the national-level “Vande Mataram – 150 Years” Quiz, organised by MyGov in association with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Students of MMS Batch 2025–27 and BMS Batches 2024–28 and 2025–29 actively took part in the quiz and submitted their certificates of participation. The initiative provided students with an opportunity to enhance their understanding of the historical, cultural, and national significance of Vande Mataram through an interactive and engaging national-level activity.

The celebrations further included a flag-hoisting ceremony at the TIMSR campus, marked by enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. Students followed the prescribed dress theme by wearing saffron/orange, white, and green, either individually or in combination, symbolising the colours of the National Flag and reflecting the spirit of the occasion.

Overall, the Independence Day celebrations provided students with meaningful opportunities to express their patriotism and strengthen their sense of national identity. The various activities successfully promoted unity, national pride, cultural awareness, and shared responsibility, contributing to a strong spirit of patriotism and camaraderie across the TIMSR student community.
