Visit to Labour Court
TIMSR organized a visit to the Labour Court on 13th November 2025 for the students of MMS Sem-III (Batch 2024-2026), to provide students with practical exposure to labour law processes and dispute resolution mechanisms. The visit began with a briefing session where students were introduced to the structure and functioning of the Labour Court, common HR-related disputes, and the importance of statutory compliance and proper documentation in HR practices.
Students also participated in an interactive session with Advocate Satyanarayan Hegde, a senior lawyer and Bar Council member, who shared insights on labour disputes related to gratuity, wages, termination, and workplace misconduct. He also highlighted the growing importance of conciliation and alternative dispute resolution in resolving employment conflicts. During the visit, students observed live court proceedings, including a gratuity dispute case presided over by Hon’ble Judge Shri A. P. Kulkarni, which demonstrated the practical application of the Payment of Gratuity Act.
Overall, the visit provided valuable practical exposure to judicial processes and strengthened students’ understanding of the crucial link between HR management and labour law compliance.
