Dr. Bonita Mitra is an Associate Professor (Human Resource Management) at Thakur Institute of Management Studies and Research (TIMSR), Mumbai. With over 12 years of teaching, training, and academic experience, she brings a rich blend of scholarly knowledge and practical expertise in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior.
She holds a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior from KIIT School of Management, KIIT University, and an M.Phil. from the PMIR Department of Utkal University. Her research contributions have been published in several reputed national and international journals, reflecting her strong commitment to academic excellence and knowledge creation.
Prior to joining TIMSR, Dr. Mitra served in prominent academic institutions, including Biju Patnaik Institute of Information Technology and Management Studies (BIITM), College of Engineering and Technology, C.V. Raman College of Engineering, Interscience Institute of Management and Technology, and S.C.S. (A) College, Puri. Through these roles, she has gained extensive experience in teaching, research, student mentoring, and academic administration.

A passionate educator, trainer, and mentor, her areas of expertise include Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Training and Development, Performance Management, and Industrial Relations. She is particularly committed to preparing students for successful corporate careers through placement training, interview preparation, personality development, and employability enhancement programs.

Dr. Mitra has also conducted training and development programs for professionals from organizations such as WPDCL, SIDBI, Hotel Empires, Oriental Bank of Commerce, and other institutions. Certified in VSkills POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment), she remains dedicated to fostering inclusive learning environments, promoting holistic student development, and staying aligned with emerging industry trends and practices.
