Singapore - 2020
Global Immersion Programme was organized in Singapore for TIMSR students from 4th September 2019 to 9th September 2019 in association with James Cook University (JCU), Australia (Singapore Campus) & Mages Institute of Excellence, Singapore. During the program at JCU, a session on ‘Innovation and Challenges in Global Business Management’ was presented by Dr. Deshti Kanniah, Senior Lecturer, Business and a session on ‘Banking & Finance Management’ was conducted by Dr. Thong, Lecturer, Business. The students received certificates of participation from the University. At Mages Institute of Excellence, the students participated in training on ‘Introduction to Creative Technology’ presented by Mr. Alexander De La Cruz, Head of Business Development.
Students took this opportunity to visit Merlion Park, Chinatown, Mustafa market, Little India, Marina bay, Universal Studio etc. and explored the heritage and other places of Singapore as part of the program. Students got an opportunity for learning experience through an overview of the local society and its linguistic and cultural immersion, public housing system, transport facilities, tourist places and scenic beauty of Singapore. They also learnt the importance of time management, punctuality, discipline and cleanliness.
