Supply Chain and E-Commerce in Logistics
TIMSR organised a guest session titled “Supply Chain and Logistics in E-Commerce” for the students of the BMS-Sem-V (Batch 2024-28) students, on Saturday, August 01, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The resource person for the session was Mr. Sandeep Kumar Vishwakarma, AGM – Regional Distribution & Logistics – APMEA, Sodexo, Mumbai, and an alumnus of TIMSR’s MMS Operations (Batch 2013-15). Drawing on his extensive industry experience, he explained key aspects of supply chain and logistics, including demand forecasting, inventory planning, warehousing, transportation, distribution, customer fulfilment and performance measurement. He supported the discussion with practical industry examples and conducted an interactive question-and-answer session. The session also provided insights into career opportunities in logistics and supply chain management, helping students relate classroom concepts to current industry practices
