About Library
The LRC is visualized as the Heart of an Academic Institute. TIMSR LRC is well stocked with latest editions of Text Books, Reference Books, E-Books, Encyclopaedias, Dictionaries, Periodicals and Audio – Visual materials spanning the entire spectrum of management subjects. The LRC measuring 381 Sq. mtr comprises a spacious and well – lit reading hall that provides stimulating ambience for studying. Management education is basically sharing of experiences and discussions, thus, an ideation room is available for group discussion activity. TIMSR LRC catalogue and e-resources are accessible remotely through Web OPAC and remote access facility.
The Key Sections of LRC are :
i. Reading Room: Fully air-conditioned, spacious and well furnished reading room with seating capacity of 132 students at a time.
ii. Digital Library: Here 10 terminals are provided to the students. Here the students can access online database like ProQuest ABI Global Management Collection, Taylor and Francis e-books , Ace Equity and EBSCO e-books. Students can access the soft copy of previous years Question papers, Syllabus and Projects.
iii. Periodical Section: A corner in the library specifically, dedicated to journals and magazines subscribed by TIMSR – LRC.
iv. Stack Room: Here the collection of the LRC is preserved. The books are arranged subject wise. It contains over 29000 books for reading and lending.

Digital Library:
Digital library is to provide the students a place to access subscribed online resources like ProQuest ABI Global Management Collection, KNIMBUS, Ace Equity and EBSCO e-books. Students can also access Institutional Repository which is available on LAN (Intranet) i.e. soft copy of previous years Question papers, Syllabus and Projects, from digital library.
Digital Library Rules:
i. Students must make entry in the register before using the digital resources.
ii. Students are not allowed to download / copy / e-mail digital resources without prior permission of librarian or library staff.
iii. Students are not allowed to take CDs outside the digital library
iv. Students can only access electronic resources like ProQuest, EBSCO E-Books, KNIMBUS and Ace Equity, NPTEL, SWAYAM and such other educational Websites as mentioned on the institute’s website under LRC (Library), e-resources.
Note: Students must comply with the library rules failing which they may be excluded from the library use or incur a fine or strict action will be taken against them.

- Students : Students are allowed Two books /CDs / Periodicals per library card for 14 days.
- Staff : Staff members are allowed 2 books / CDs / Periodicals for one month.
- Faculty : Faculties are allowed 10 books / 2 CDs / 2 Periodicals for a Semester.
- Alumni: Alumni Members are allowed 1 book on one card for one month.
- Corporate: Corporate Members are allowed 1 book on one card for one month.
- Note : Regular membership is given to students, faculty, staff and alumni.
General rules:
- Students have to maintain silence in the library.
- Students coming for reference purpose have to make entry into visitor’s register.
- Wearing I – Card is compulsory.
- Consumption of food, except drinking water, is strictly prohibited.
- Use of Mobile Phone is strictly prohibited in the library.
- Students should not touch any electric equipment without permission of the librarian.
- Students must keep their belongings on the luggage racks after entering in the library. Library is not responsible in case of any damage or theft of the belongings, kept in the library.
- Students are not allowed to sit in the Library Reading/Ideation room while sessions/lectures are going on.
- Students are requested to use the library materials very carefully without causing any damage.
Issue-return related rules:
- Students should carry their Library Membership Card for using library resources.
- Students must deposit the book card at the circulation counter before taking the book.
- The holder of the membership card is responsible for the books borrowed against it.
- Students should check the books while taking/receiving them from the library.
- Students are not allowed to take issued book in the Library Stack Room.
- Home Lending: Students will get one book against one library membership card for the period of 14 days.
- Books can be re-issued by presenting them physically, only if there is no claim from other students.
- Fine for overdue: Rs.5 /- per day will be charged against late return of books.
- Books on overnight basis will be issued after 9.00 P.M. (Mon – Sat), it should be returned back next day before 9.15 A.M. Default will be charged Rs. 10/- per day.
- Writing or marking in library books is strictly prohibited.
- Students must not take Xerox from bound volumes.
- Question Papers, Newspapers, Project Reports, CDs, and Journal & Magazines on display are meant for reference purpose only.
